I started reading this book as soon as I got it (on the day of release). Right from the start it had me hooked and I could feel myself growing to like the characters a little more with every sentence. Sadly real life got in my way and I had to put it aside for a bit but I managed to find a little time and finally got to finish it. (at 210am!!!)
Jennifer brings the characters to life and they are always good solid people who will put others first despite the darkness in the World around them. I need a Wyatt in my life!
Once again Jennifer D. Scroggins has created a story that draws the reader into the lives of the characters. Her attention to detail, her true to life situations, her great character development, are all so fantastic. They draw you into the words, the pages, because you care about them, what happens to them, how they change...stay the same.
The author has been consistent in her ability to write about people we feel like we know. I love her writing style. It sometimes reminds me of movies like, Stand By Me...with its ability to have a story that drifts along at times, like floating on a lazy river...but you don't see what's up around the bend. And her sense of humor is weaved throughout the pages.
I just love it! Another great story! I hope people read this and her other stories. She's an excellent writer! -)
